School Program

Borderlands Leadership Centre offers Nepal’s premier Leadership Development Programs (LDPs), designed to enhance school and youth leadership through experiential learning and cross-cultural communication. Developed in consultation with international organizations, our unique programs combine adventure activities with outdoor education to foster personal growth and broaden students’ learning experiences.

With a strong national and international client base, Borderlands supports students with tailored resources and activities that turn their time in Nepal into a transformative educational journey. A growing number of international schools, colleges, and organizations are partnering with us to deliver custom-designed adventure education programs that leave a lasting impact.

Borderlands LDP programs aim to foster social and academic growth in a safe, outdoor learning environment. With a focus on personal, interpersonal, and teamwork skills, activities are educational, challenging, and designed to build leadership, problem-solving, and cross-cultural understanding. Set in the stunning border region of Tibet and Nepal, our unique courses use games, initiatives, and adventure activities, led by experienced and dedicated outdoor educators.

Providing an insight into the rural lives of the Nepalese people.
Providing geographical, ecological and geological studies – river studies, rock identification, field sketching, mapping and basic surveying, flora and fauna identification, nature walks, local topography and geomorphology.
Increasing individual and group working skills/ workshops – feedback, teamwork and roles, communication, leadership, presentation and listening skills.
Initiative exercises – fun problem solving activities to encourage creative thinking, communication, team work, coordination and planning.
Providing cultural tours through the Sherpa and Tamang Villages.

Through various games and outdoor activities, Borderlands LDP provides experiential learning that builds social and academic skills students can apply at school and home. Programs are tailored to fit each school’s curriculum and student needs.

Our Venues

Most programs are held at Borderlands Eco Adventure Resort, just 3 hours from Kathmandu and 16 km south of the Tibetan border, but we also offer mobile, customizable training at venues like Gokarna Forest Resort or within the Kathmandu Valley. In-house programs are also available if your organization require us to undertake such activity, all delivered by an experienced and adaptable team in variety of environments that showcase Nepal’s natural beauty.
